There are 4 fully self-contained cabins on our 2 acres of tropical garden by the water at Amity Point. Each bungalow contains:

• a full collection of cooking utensils, stove, oven and microwave so you can come prepared with groceries from the main land and cook your own meals
• a large balcony for outdoor dining while you watch the sunset over Amity Point
• a TV equipped with a DVD player so you can curl up and watch your favorite movie after a day in Stadbroke’s outdoors
• a BBQ for each bungalow so don’t forget to bring your snags or cook what you catch that day down at our fishing jetty
• a full set of comfortable furniture ideal for holidays

Being tucked away in a quiet garden only seconds to the waterfront makes Straddie Bungalows an ideal romantic escape for couples and in particular honeymooners or guys looking to take the plunge and propose. We have had 5 proposals occur on site in the past year.

Parties, bucks weekends and weddings

Straddie Bungalows has also proven to be quite the hot spot for bucks weekends, and weddings parties, as you’re able to book out all our accommodation and have 2 acres of secluded garden and water to yourself. One of our bungalows sleeps up to 10 people making it ideal for large groups.

Ladies weekends – make it a yoga or pilates retreat

It makes the perfect destination for a yoga or pilates retreat, with our grassed area by the water for you to conduct your classes. Organise with your group of girlfriends to take some time out and take a ladies weekend over to North Stradbroke Island where you can truly unwind away from traffic, work, kids and husbands.
